We love the Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara AVA way out on the east end of our beautiful valley for its hot days and cool nights. Here at Penville we believe this is the perfect site for attaining a balance of vibrant acidity and the refreshing fruit qualities in rosé. This year we were finally able to work with the esteemed Vogelzang Vineyard. Sustainably farmed, the fruit was pressed whole cluster then fermented using only native yeast in our 476 gl concrete egg. The wine was then aged in small stainless steel barrels and neutral puncheon for six months.
